Within the broader social marketing topic, my interest is in the way in which culture and religion can be used by state and secular agencies in order to encourage behaviour change, particularly amongst minority community groups.
The image on the left shows the preparation of food for congregation members in a gurdwara. The British Heart Foundation and the Food Standards Agency sought to encourage the preparation of healthier meals and this was undertaken as part of their 'Social Cooking' project.
